Canada 2013
Rob gave two very successful talks whilst in Canada.
The first was in Gimli Manitoba on 16th December. The talk was extremely well attended given its proximity to Christmas and the record low temperatures. The friendly and knowledgeable group which included the Mayor of Gimli, Lynn Greenberg, asked many of questions and made for a very interactive evening and certainly tested Robs knowledge of Elms and the control measures used in Brighton.
Thanks to Cheryl Geske for facilitating the evening and thanks to all the ladies who provided such lovely cakes and dainties!
The second talk was quite different and was held in a theatre in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Rob battled heavy snow to get to the venue!. This talk was to the Manitoba Master Gardeners Association. Rob gave his presentation and answered questions on control methods including similarities between Winnipeg’s Elm programme and that of Brighton and Hove. Thanks again to Cheryl Geske and to Mick Manfield WMGA who arranged this evening.
Rob enjoyed both evenings and would like to thank all concerned for their invitation and hospitality.
A copy of the presentation is available below.
